Experimental Process

EMSA, DNase I footprinting, and motif discovery determined three binding sites for GlxR: two in the genR-KH promoter region (R-KHx01, R-KHx02) and one in the genDMF promoter region (DMFx). Site directed mutagenesis and Beta-gal. assays determined that genDMF, genR, and genKH are repressed by GlxR.
