Experimental Process

In-vitro transcription assay indicated clcABD activation by CatR even in the absence of its inducer (CCM), though activation is increased in the presence of CCM. Comparative DNase I protection assays between CatR and ClcR revealed the region protected by ClcR with its inducer (2-CM) is identical to that protected by CatR without CCM.

Transcription Factor Binding Sites

Gene Regulation

Regulated genes for each binding site are displayed below. Gene regulation diagrams show binding sites, positively-regulated genes, negatively-regulated genes, both positively and negatively regulated genes, genes with unspecified type of regulation. For each indvidual site, experimental techniques used to determine the site are also given.
