Experimental Process

DNase I footprinting experiments were performed on the 453 bp fragment to localize the binding site within the promoter region of ilvB. Gel mobility assays was used to show CodY binds to the ilvB promoter. Beta-gal reporter assay was used to confirm CodY mediated regulation of ilvB.
