Experimental Process

LeuO binding sequences in 12 regions on the E. coli genome were identified by genomic SELEX. LeuO binding to SELEX fragments was confirmed by EMSA. LeuO-dependent expression of the its putative target genes was confirmed by Northern blot analysis in the wild-type E. coli BW25113 and its isogenic leuO mutant.
